ROLES: PRODUCING, DIRECTING, EDITING

This video series is a social media Daily Devotion created for Steps to God church during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown. The congregation leaders wanted their people to feel inspired and connected despite staying home for an extended period.

We developed video series that is easy to produce and does not require much postproduction. Each episode explores the biblical promise and draws an inspirational conclusion.

All text is scripted in advance, and hosts perform in talking-head style.

After several episodes, we changed the logo to create a crisp, modern look.

Each video focuses on a biblical text and explores its meaning. At the end of the video, the host concludes the idea and inspires listeners.

Intro Logo

The original logo is going well with 4:3 format and supports the VHS look of the video. However, the feedback from the audience inspired us to modernize the look.

Behind the Scenes

All text is scripted in advance by the hosts. We would record five to six episodes in one day and schedule them on social media.

The 4:3 aspect ratio makes video optimal for social media (Instagram and Facebook favor square formats) and focuses on the speaker.
