Improving customers' experience with ALEKO products and optimizing customer service by creating instructional video content.
While working with ALEKO Products, I produced a series of instructional videos to help ALEKO customers assemble their products. Later, each product packaging contained a youtube link to see a how-to video. ALEKO customer service also used my videos to send their customers links with manuals and videos, which reduced the time customers spent on the phone with technical support.
After talking to customer service, I made a list of products customers struggled primarily with and focused on creating videos that would help with commonly asked questions. We later distributed these videos on Amazon and other platforms to allow shoppers to watch them before, during, and after product purchasing.
ALEKO has many products they update or modify often; therefore, many instructional videos were disposable content. Instead of investing time into making top-tier videos, we focused on creating easy-to-understand content and making it fast. Everything was shot on iPhone 7 Plus and edited on iPad using mobile software, and it automated some tasks and allowed us to increase productivity.
Not every listing on Amazon can include videos, so we posted them in the Customer Reviews section, and customers can find them easily.
